1. SERVICES AND PRIORITY It is my understanding that Livelihood NW offers qualified businesses the Business Development Series. The Business Development Series is a 5 week series with one session on the same night per week. Businesses looking for advice beyond the Business Development Series may be required to fill out additional paperwork and go through further selection process. When demand is high, priority will be given to businesses owned by those who have been historically underserved, including women-owned businesses and businesses owned by people of color. Priority will also be given to businesses located in the Portland Metro area.
2. TECHNOLOGY The Business Development Series is currently only offered by video conference via Zoom. I understand that to have a video call I must have a computer with microphone and camera and an internet connection, as well as a free Zoom account. I understand that it is my responsibility to prepare for the technology requirements of the Business Development Series, and that my failure to do so does not entitle me to a refund of fees paid.
3. FEES I understand that there is a $175 fee for one business owner to attend, or a $200 fee for two business owners to attend the Business Development Series at the same time. These fees are non-refundable. I understand there may be additional fees for other services offered by Livelihood NW or for services offered by other organizations that I may be referred to.
4. CANCELATION I understand that if I am unable to attend the Business Development Series after purchasing a ticket, I can, and will, contact Livelihood NW to let them know. As the fee is non-refundable, my fee will be applied to a future Business Development Series of my choice. If I am able to attend some, but not all sessions, I can, and will contact Livelihood NW to make up the missed sessions at no additional cost to me, at a future date when the workshop is held.
5. SERIES TERMINATION Livelihood NW reserves the right to terminate Business Development Series in its entirety or a single session(s) at any time for any reason including misuse of the platform and/or technical difficulties. If a Business Development Series is canceled due to technical difficulties from Livelihood NW, Livelihood NW will make a reasonable attempt to reschedule the session or series. If Livelihood NW cancels a Business Development Series in advance of the start date, I understand that Livelihood NW will offer to refund my fees or, if I prefer, apply them to a future Business Development Series.
6. CONFIDENTIALITY It is my understanding that Livelihood NW will keep all information I provide as confidential with exception to sharing required information with program sponsors. I agree to respect the confidentiality of other business owners in the class and agree to keep their business information confidential. Additionally, I acknowledge that Livelihood NW makes no representations or warranties as to the accuracy, completeness or effectiveness of the advice provided by any Livelihood NW staff or business advisors.
7. AGREEMENT I agree not to hold Livelihood NW, its representatives, employees, assigns and transferees, liable for any unintended consequences, including financial, business or personal, resulting from providing the aforementioned service.
